CT Pediatric Neuropsychology Associates is pleased to announce the addition of Lisa B. Namerow, MD, FAACAP, to their group or providers. Starting February 4, 2020, Dr. Namerow will be available 2 half-days per week to conduct School Based Psychiatric Evaluations with children and adolescents for whom the school is requesting additional evaluation in order to better clarify diagnosis and behavioral health needs .
Additionally, Dr. Namerow and Dr. Isenberg will be offering Integrated Psychiatric and Neuropsychological Evaluation (IPNE) for students who would benefit from both types of evaluation methods and expertise. For this combined/interdisciplinary evaluation, Drs. Namerow and Isenberg will each conduct their perspective evaluations, following which they will meet to collaborate on case formulation and write a comprehensive report integrating their findings. IPNE's can be accessed via school referral or via by private/community based referral.
Dr. Namerow is board certified in pediatrics, general psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry and has had over 25 years of clinical experience evaluating and treating children with mental health conditions in a variety of settings including inpatient, both medical and psychiatric, emergency room and outpatient. As a result, she has developed an extensive and broad understanding of their needs. Prior to starting medical school, Dr. Namerow taught in a school which specialized in children with behavioral health complexities and during that time, she developed a keen understanding of how important success within a classroom setting is for children. In her outpatient practice, she has always worked to make herself available to school staff given how important it is to both obtain and exchange information on any student with behavioral health struggles.
